The Gujarat government has launched a wide investment outreach campaign ahead of the 11th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in 2027. Through October and November 2026, high-level delegations will visit 22 countries, and roadshows will be held in eight cities across India, according to a press release.
Poland is on the itinerary with Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Russia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique. In each country the teams will hold sector-specific roundtables and one-on-one meetings with companies, institutional investors and industry bodies, and invite business leaders to the summit.
The summit, themed “Viksit Gujarat – Shaping Global Future”, will be held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar from 10 to 12 January 2027. The Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb), Government of Gujarat, is the nodal agency. The campaign follows an August 2026 visit to the United States and Canada led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, with meetings in San Francisco, Washington DC and Toronto.
The biennial summit was launched in 2003 by Narendra Modi, then chief minister of Gujarat. Delegations will meet multinational corporations, investors, government agencies, chambers of commerce, trade associations, innovation groups and members of the Indian diaspora. They will also point to India’s free trade agreements with the UAE, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the EFTA nations and the European Union.
Gujarat is presenting its ports and coastline, the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, the Dholera project, GIFT City, a growing semiconductor and electronics base, and renewable energy, backed by single-window governance. The 2027 summit will emphasise semiconductors, artificial intelligence, fintech, green energy, data centres and space technologies.
Micron’s assembly and test facility was inaugurated in February, and Kaynes Semicon’s OSAT unit in March. The CG Power-Renesas OSAT project is under way. At Dholera, Tata Electronics is building a planned commercial semiconductor fabrication facility with Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation, with Dutch company ASML as an equipment and technology partner.
GIFT City hosts more than 1,000 entities employing over 20,000 people, and 38 banks with a combined asset base of USD 100 billion. The Khavda renewable park in Kutch covers more than 72,000 hectares; the planned 37-GW solar-wind hybrid park is expected to power nearly 18 million homes when complete. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy puts Gujarat’s installed renewable capacity at 52.61 GW, about 18 percent of India’s total.
Roadshows will also be held in Guwahati, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Jaipur.
