Poland is already among the countries where the BBC’s flagship channel, BBC News, is available on YouTube. The broadcaster said the United States is now joining Australia, Kenya, Nigeria and Poland, as part of a wider effort to reach younger, digitally native audiences.

The same industry roundup reports that NBC News’ long-running investigative series Dateline is launching a Canadian version. Dateline Canada debuts on Citytv and Citytv+ on Thursday, November 26, under a licensing deal with Rogers Studios. It is the true-crime franchise’s first international expansion. Diana Swain, a former CBC News senior investigative correspondent and current host of The Investigators on CBC News Network, will host. The two-hour premiere looks into the disappearance of Elizabeth Bain, a University of Toronto student who went missing in 1990. Keith Morrison, who hosts the US version, began his journalism career in Canada, where he is from, and previously worked with CTV and CBC News.

MS NOW anchor Ali Velshi will, on Sunday night at 10 p.m. ET, host Sparking Outrage: Data Center and A.I. Backlash, with reporting from senior reporter Josh Einiger. The special covers a growing nationwide backlash to data centers and artificial intelligence, a subject the network describes as one of the key issues of next month’s midterm elections.

The network also made an on-air apology on Wednesday after falsely reporting that FBI director Kash Patel had traveled to Russia to meet with officials. Justice correspondent Ken Dilanian, who filed the initial report citing two anonymous FBI sources, later said, “We regret this error, and we are transparent about when we make errors.”

CNN said this week it will take part in Google’s news A.I. pilot. The multi-year partnership will provide enhanced content rights so experimental features in Google products can explore how generative A.I. might create additional engagement for CNN journalism. CNN All Access, the network’s direct-to-consumer subscription, will expand to Canada and the United Kingdom beginning October 20. It has been live in the US for nearly a year. In Canada it will cost $7.99 CAD per month or $79.99 CAD annually. In the UK it will cost £4.99 per month or £49.99 annually.

On Wednesday night, MS NOW senior contributing editor Michele Norris received the Freedom of the Press Career Achievement Award at the 2026 RCFP Freedom of the Press Awards. Accepting the award, she honored journalists, including those at MS NOW, who have stood up to efforts to silence the press, and said the battle over freedom of the press is one journalists have faced before and “is not new ground.”
